There is a plethora of factors that affect the progress of social entrepreneurship. These factors can be grouped in two clusters – the players (internal) and the environmental (external) conditions. The Social Entrepreneurship Index is focusing on observing the both by using mixed methodological approach.

The Social Entrepreneurship Index [SEI] is a measurement tool that evaluate the development of social entrepreneurship on national level. SEI is focused on five crucial dimensions - the political, economic, legal, technical or institutional and financial dimension.
