Open data
Everything behind the explorer and the country profiles, for 45 countries: scores, the raw values behind them, the policy coding, the time series and the weighting tests.
This page is available in English only.
Files
CSV files are UTF-8, comma-separated, one header row. Country codes are ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, with XK for Kosovo. Scores run from 0 to 100, higher is more favourable. datapackage.json describes every file and column in the Frictionless Data format.
Licence and sources
The indicator, dimension and composite scores, the policy coding, the time series and the sensitivity results may be shared and adapted for any purpose, with attribution.
The raw values file repeats published figures from Eurostat, the World Bank, Freedom House, the Heritage Foundation, the World Economic Forum, WIPO, the International Budget Partnership and GEM. Reuse them under each provider’s terms and cite the provider.
How each score is built is set out in the methodology note.
